psychology
Psychology has always been something I planned on minoring in college. Starting my second semester at the University of Miami, I took my first Introduction to Psychology course. I found this especially useful because I believe psychology, the study of the mind and behavior, goes hand-in-hand with marketing, my major. When you understand how people think, it is easier to predict the decisions they will make and what they will want (or buy) in the future.

Throughout my years at UM, I have voluntarily participated in many research studies in a laboratory setting. I have also taken a number of classes, many in different topics, to learn about how people think and behave. The most useful class I have taken in the Psychology Department is Social Psychology, which contained a series of lectures about attitude formation, person perception, group structure, leadership, and conformity.
