Business Marketing, my initial major, was something I always knew I would be interested in. Starting in high school (Langley High School in McLean, VA), I took my first Marketing class: Fashion Marketing. This was the perfect initial step into the Business world. Although I didn't take a strong interest in the fashion industry, I still knew that Marketing was the path I was going to take in college. Immediately after graduating high school, I worked my first internship in the Event Planning and Marketing sector of River Bend Country Club in Great Falls, VA.

As a Business student at the University of Miami, I immediately became involved in the Marketing Department. As a first-year student, I took on the task of helping UM Professor Townscend and PhD candidate Carter Morgan in their research study regarding marketing techniques for Undergraduate and Graduate students. Soon after, I was offered a position in the University of Miami Marketing Lab where I directly assisted Carter Morgan and a number of other Phd candidates in their research over the course of two semesters.

After this year of conducting research in the Marketing Lab, I started exploring a field I had been interested since high school: Event Planning. Throughout the summer in between my sophomore and junior year of college, I was fortunate enough to intern and later work part-time with Lourdes Milian, the President and CEO of Lourdes Milian Productions. As South Florida's Top Event Planning Company, web and social media presence is vital to reach our elite demographic of clients in Florida. I was ecstatic to gain vital experience in the office, on site visits, and in dozens of LMP's weddings, many which have been published by popular magazines.

After this role, I ventured into the marine science field, bringing my marketing skills with me. Some of the roles I have recently taken on are at Lean Orb, Drop Anchor (Compass, Inc.), and Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder.
